Paul Stirling and Elton Chigumbura (31 off 17 balls) batted aggressively to take the Royals to victory with three balls to spare chasing down 172. Stirling scored 25-ball 38 before being run out by Kevon Cooper.
Mohammad Nabi struck consecutive sixes in an imperative 43 runs off 26 balls. The No. 7 batsman Elton Chigumbura slammed three sixes, while Suhrawadi Shuvo struck the winning run with a boundary off Rubel Hussain.
For Chittagong Kings, Naeem Islam anchored their innings with 72 off 52 balls. He smashed nine boundaries in his knock. Naeem and Ravi Bopara stitched together 78 runs for the first wicket before the Kings started to lose wickets at regular intervals. Ryan ten Doeschate made 21 off 10 balls on a slow Aziz stadium wicket.
