Mirpur: Ahmed Shehzad produced an all-round performance to help Barisal Burners beat Duronto Rajshahi by 22 runs in a thrilling second match of Saturday in the Bangladesh Premier League.
Barisal Burners scored 180/2 in their quota of overs with openers Shehzad along with swashbuckling opener Chris Gayle gave Burners a solid start as the duo were involved in 82 runs stand or the opening partnership before MN Samuels picked up the West Indies for 39.
Shehzad who scored 67 from 40 balls was finally sent back as he was trying to up the ante in the later staged. He was caught by Syed Rasel and was picked up by Abdul Razzaq.

Middle order batsmen Shahriar Nafees and Brad Hodge then played brilliant cameos to guide their team to 180.
Chasing 181 to win, Rajshahi got off to a worst possible start as Junaid Siddique was sent back early. Fellow opener Mizanur Rahman was a lone battler as he scored a fighting 65 from 52 balls before Rajshahi were bundled out for 158.
For Barisal Burners, Yasir Arafat, SM Harwood and Nazmul Islam picked up two wickets a each and Ahmed Shehzad picked up a scalp.
