Mirpur: Opener Nashir Jamshed starred in Chittagong Kings 6 wickets win over Khulna Royal Bengals in the Bangladesh Premier League on Sunday.
Electing to bat, Khulna Royal Bengals posted a competitive total of 171 on the board. For them the experienced Shivnarine Chanderpaul set the things up by scoring 59 off 50 balls, which included three sixes and five fours. At the other end he was well supported by former South Africa player Herschelle Gibbs (34) and later Dwayne Smith chipped in with 39 off 26 balls.
When Chittagong Kings came out to bat, opener Nashir Jamshed had other plans and took the attack to the opposition. It was a blazing innings from Jamshed, who remained unbeaten on 86 and made sure to stay till the end. He slammed 86 off 46 balls, which included 3 sixes and 10 boundaries.
