Mohali: Pune Warriors India skipper Sourav Ganguly on Wednesday expressed solidarity with Yuvraj Singh by saying that the whole team was with him in his crisis time, and also advised him not to rush his comeback to competitive cricket. Yuvraj, who returned home from the US on Tuesday, was diagnosed with a rare form of germ cell cancer a few months ago and underwent three sessions of chemotherapy at the Indiana University's IU Simon Cancer Centre. During his stay in the hospital, Yuvraj received a lot of support from his fans and well-wishers. He missed the entire Australian tour and also the ongoing IPL 5 due to his ailment.

"Whether we win or not, my whole team is for Yuvraj Singh. He is a dear friend and has been my colleague. Obviously, we all have special feelings for him," Ganguly said about Yuvraj, who captained Pune in the last season. "What's most important for all of us is to see him first. Cricket is not the most important thing at this present moment. It's important that he stays fit, recovers and leads a healthy life before he even thinks of coming back to the park."

Meanwhile earlier in the day, Yuvraj Singh, who is expected to witness the match between Pune and Punjab on Thursday, wished his team well ahead of the tie. "I want to wear the Pune jersey and support the team in the IPL. I miss playing the IPL. Ganguly is doing well. I wish the team all the best and hope they reach the final four."
