Kolkata: Kolkata Knight Riders' skipper, Gautam Gambhir, praised Manvinder Bisla, Jacues Kallis and Eoin Morgan for their efforts in the team's six wickets victory over Kings XI Punjab at the Eden Gardens on Friday.

"I think it was a fantastic effort from our bowlers to restrict them to 149. A lot of credit needs to go to Kallis, Bisla and Morgan. The way they played was just amazing. I have always maintained that you need to think clearly in this format. Irrespective of the situation, you need to play positive cricket because you cannot go into a shell," Gambhir said after win that ended their three-match losing streak. "Under the circumstances, Bisla played a very good knock. So did Kallis and Morgan," Gambhir added.

Kallis, who propelled KKR to victory despite his knee injury, was declared Man of the Match for his brilliant 37 off 33 balls and for his figures of 2 for 14 in 4 overs.

"The knee injury was frustration. I was really disappointed because I couldn't bowl in the last match. We played some good cricket along the way, but luck didn't go our way... However, we were lucky tonight and we played a lot better. Our hard work paid off" Kallis said after the match.

"We have learnt to adapt to the conditions here and how to vary your length on this track. I am thoroughly enjoying my bowling and hope to contribute to the team's cause. Chasing a total on this wicket was always going to be tough. Bisla batted beautifully throughout the innings. And Eoin's innings showed what a class player he is," Kallis added.

While Bisla scored an unbeaten 51 off 44 balls, Morgan made a quick-fire 42 off 26 balls as KKR chased down the 150-run target with ten balls to spare.
