Dubai: After guiding Australia to a thrilling three-wicket win over West Indies in the first Test in Barbados, pacers Ben Hilfenhaus and Ryan Harris achieved their highest-ever bowling ratings in the ICC Test rankings.
Man-of-the-Match Harris, who took 3 for 31 in the West Indies’ second innings, jumped five places to 16th in the rankings with 614 ratings points, the ICC said in a statement. Hilfenhaus, who played a crucial role in restricting West Indies to 148 by picking up 4 for 27 in their second innings, climbed three places to eighth with 751 ratings points.
In the batting chart, Shivnarine Chanderpaul, who scored his 25th Test century in his team’s first innings, has also moved up three places to fifth while Darren Bravo, with the scores of 51 and 32 in the same Test, has attained a career-best ratings points of 695 but remains 21st in the rankings.

South Africa's AB de Villiers has taken the sole lead as the No. 1-ranked batsman after Australia's captain Michael Clarke dropped two ranking spots to third and his predecessor, Ricky Ponting, also fell by three spots to 19th.
