Aus Harris not confident of getting nod

Melbourne: Comeback man Ryan Harris is not fully confident that the team management would include him in the playing XI for the second cricket Test against India, starting at the SCG from January 3.

Skipper Michael Clarke has not ruled out deploying four quicks in Sydney, although Harris would be surprised if he is chosen ahead of tweaker Nathan Lyon on the spin-friendly SCG deck. "To be honest, it would be silly to change the attack," Harris was quoted as saying by the Courier Mail.

"I don't think I will get picked, but if I get the nod, I will go well. I'll go there prepared to play, but I'm not expecting to. The way the guys bowled was outstanding, it was great to see Hilfy (Hilfenhaus) come back and take his opportunity. He's been working so bloody hard and it was good to see him get results," Harris stated.

Harris not confident of getting nod for Sydney

The Aussie paceman says he may not be included in the playing XI for the second Test in Sydney against India.

"Pattinson just keeps rolling on and Sidds is just the workhorse, he's bowling out of his skin as well, which is great for the side."

In his column in the same newspaper this week, Darren Lehmann, Harris's coach at Queensland, urged the Test selectors to unleash the Bulls quick on India in the third Test in Perth.

At 32, he admits the Test selectors can only accept so many breakdowns before they turn their back on him.
