'I give same value to India and IPL'

New Delhi: India's Virat Kohli has on Tuesday said that he goes into both international and IPL matches with the same focus and determination, and that contrary to what his critics may think he knows the difference between self belief and arrogance.

"IPL is not for fun. I give IPL games and India games same importance," said Kohli while speaking at the Indian Express’ Express Adda. Asked about his aggressive approach, the 23-year-old said: "It's hard to find right balance between self belief and being arrogant. I'm lucky to have got that."

Kohli, who was adjudged the ICC ODI Cricketer of the Year, further suggested that when it comes to showing aggression on the field, the yardstick was not same for India and other countries. "If we show aggression on the field it is called bad behaviour, but other teams have got away with it,” he said.

The ICC\'s ODI Player of the Year also said that he knows the difference between self belief and arrogance.

Kohli also hailed current India coach Duncan Fletcher as a person with immense knowledge of cricket. "He is someone who has lot of knowledge about game,” he said.

Kohli stated that he wished to glean certain traits from great Indian cricketers. "I want Dravid's defence, Laxman's wrist work, Sachin's on-drive, Dhoni's calm and composure, Sehwag's cut."
