England thumped Ireland in a Group A match by seven wickets on day two of the U-19 World Cup. Batting first after losing the toss, Ireland were skittled for 109 in 42.2 overs. Only three of their batsmen entered the double digits. Reece Topley was the pick of the bowlers for England as he picked up 3 wickets for 14 runs in 9 overs.
England both their openers at the score of 27 but Ben Foakes, Aneesh Kapil and Craig Overton guided them to the seven-wicket victory. Topley was adjudged Man-of-the-Match.

Their opener Quinton de Kock plundered 95 off 93 balls which included nine boundaries and two sixes. Theunis de Bruyn also smashed fine half-century.
Bangaldesh never looked like winning the match and they were dismissed for 161 in 34.3 overs. Vincent Morre chalked up 3 wickets for 44. De Kock was declared Man-of-the-Match for his explosive innings.

New Zealand beat Scotland by 39 runs in a Group B match. Scotland won the toss and chose to field. New Zealand captain Will Young hammered a century to propel New Zealand to 247 for 9 in 50 overs. Scotland's top-order showed great fight butt middle-order collapsed and New Zealand eased to 39-run win. Connor Neynes and Ish Sodhi picked up 3 wickets each for Black Caps.
