Hyderabad: After a delay of 14 minutes, live coverage of the first one-day international (ODI) between India and England finally got underway from the Rajiv Gandhi international stadium at Hyderabad on Friday.
The match was not being telecast despite play having commenced since the host broadcaster NEO Cricket delayed depositing the bank guarantee of Rs 4 crores with the I&B ministry.
Earlier, India captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni won the toss and elected to bat first, as England left out Ian Bell from the playing eleven.
There was a delay of 14 minutes as NEO Cricket had not deposited the bank guarantee.
Interestingly, India have lost all three ODIs that they have contested at this venue so far.
