45th over: All over! Pollard sits in angst! Surely such a knock - 10 sixes and 4 fours in 119 off 110 balls - deserved a win, but his attempt to hit over long-on found a leaping Rahane in the way who holds onto a stunning catch. A win by 34 runs makes it a 4-1 scoreline in India's favour.
43rd over: Whirlwind century for Pollard! Kohli misses a sitter! On 99 and with just one wicket in hand, Pollard tried to go over long-on to get to the landmark. The ball went straight through Kohli's hands to trickle over the boundary ropes. But India still have noses in front as it's just a matter of one more wicket.

37th over: Sharma cleans up Narine! Playing for the turn, Narine gets foxed as the legbreak doesn't turn and goes through his defences to disturb the off-stump. 195 for 8 and Pollard running out of partners. West Indies missing Rampaul?
33rd over: Sammy goes! The require run-rate is in control but Pollard needs somebody to stay with him. The skipper could have set an example but continues to disappoint as he drives at a ball that dipped on him. The edge flies straight to Rahane at point. It's 182/7, 86 needed in 112 balls. Quite gettable but just three wickets left.
28th over: India are back with a bang! A direct throw by Gambhir from short third-man sends the dangerous Andre Russell back. The all-rounder smacks 53 off 42 balls, including three monstrous sixes.
A Russell run out 53 (42b)
25th over: It's the counter-attacking by Pollard and Russell that is keeping the West Indies still in the hunt to overhaul the Indian score of 267. Both the batsmen are clearing the fence with extreme ease. Pollard has already hit four maximums, while Russell, too, has sent the ball into the orbit twice.
18th over: Another dodgy decision! Ramdin was looking good until Jadeja's arm ball struck him on the pads. The point of impact was on the leg stump and the ball could have easily gone past it had the batsman missed it. But umpire, Asnani, thinks otherwise and raises his finger as soon as Jadeja appeals.

10th over: Pathan is delighted, and why shouldn't he be! After displaying his trademark inswing, Pathan bowls another in-cutter, but this time to left-hander Powell, who plays it on after driving away from his body.
But it's a shocker from umpire Sudhir Asnani that pegs West Indies further back. Mithun cannot believe his luck when he turns back after his half-hearted appeal. Asnani raises his finger to a delivery that moves away after passing Samuels' bat, which never seems to have made a contact with the ball.

3rd over: Irfan is back! The left-arm pacer traps Lendl Simmons right in-front with his trademark in swing. Ball thuds into the batsman's pad before he could bring his bat down. WI 18/1

West Indies innings
50th over: 266/7. The last 10 overs have produced just 52 runs for India for the loss of four wickets. Not the way they wanted it to end. But the Windies won't be complaining as at one stage it looked like they will be chasing in excess of 300. The 49th over played by Pathan was a maiden, clearly showing the comeback man was a bundle of nerves. Will he answer with the ball in hand?
47th over: Narine strikes! The Windies have clawed back a weebit in the last five overs. After a tight leash on runs, they have got two wickets in two overs now as Narine castles Rohit.
Rohit Sharma b Narine 21 (26)
46th over: Kohli departs! He was looking to up the ante with a six off Martin but holes out in the deep to make it 241 for four.
Virat Kohli c Samuels b Martin 80 (85)
40th over: 33 for no loss in the five batting powerplay overs and India 214 for three. 300 beckons?
38th over: Maiden ton for Tiwary! A delicate leg glance and the fringe player comes to the fore. A hundred in just the sixth ODI of his career. However, Tiwary walks off retired hurt with cramps soon after, bringing Rohit Sharma into the middle. With 12 overs still to go, Kohli, who is batting on 56, too can get to the three-figure mark. India 202 for 3.
30th over: There was a time it was said that with wickets in hand, the batting team should ideally double their score from the 30th over onwards. So with the score at 149/3, India should be aiming at a total in excess of 300.
25th over: It's 111/3 for the hosts at the halfway stage. Manoj Tiwary who is going great guns has already brought up his maiden fifty and looks all set to score a big one.
19th over: Gambhir is lbw to leg-spinner Anthony Martin who ends a 83-run partnership for the third wicket. The Indian captain who made 31 failed to get his bat on to a delivery that pitched in line, and was caught plumb in front of his stumps. Virat Kohli now joins Tiwary in the middle.
Gautam Gambhir lbw b Martin 31 (41)
13th over: A lovely straight drive by Tiwary off Windies captain Darren Sammy gives the home team a much needed boundary, as the Indians take their score to 64/2 at the end of the over.
7th over: Three boundaries struck in the over bowled by Roach as India aim to break the shackles. Two of them went to stand-in skipper Gambhir while Tiwary struck one. The score moves on to 38/2.
5th over: It's 19/2 at the end of the over as Gambhir and Manoj Tiwary aim to keep the Windies bowlers at bay. Testing times ahead for the batmen as the ball continues to keep low.
1st over: Kemar Roach struck gold for the visitors by first trapping Ajinkya Rahane in front of his wickets, and then followed it up with the wicket of Parthiv Patel off the very next delivery as the batsman chopped one on to his stumps. Both the batsmen went for a blob, and it seems that the ball is keeping low right from the outset.
