Indian players gather for two-day camp

Chennai: The Indian team, led by skipper MS Dhoni, has started to gather here for a two-day training camp to prepare for their upcoming tour to Sri Lanka.

While Dhoni arrived in the wee hours on Sunday, five players – Virender Sehwag, Suresh Raina, Virat Kohli, Irfan Pathan and Zaheer Khan – arrived this afternoon. The remaining players are expected to land by later tonight.

The camp will start from 2:30 pm on Monday. The team will play five one-day internationals and a one-off Twenty20 during their tour, starting with an ODI in Hambantota on July 21. The only Twenty20 will be played on August 7 in Pallekele.
