New Delhi: Four ICC Elite Panel umpires will officiate in the play-off matches of the Indian Premier League. "Simon Taufel, Billy Doctrove, Kumar Dharmasena and Billy Bowden will be umpiring in the four play off games," an IPL media release said.
It was also confirmed that the ICC match referees Andy Pycroft and Ranjan Madugalle will preside over those four games. The release further added if Royal Challengers Bangalore finish as first placed team or second placed team, then they will play in Qualifier 1 in Bangalore on May 23, while the Eliminator would move to Pune on May 22.
Qualifier 1: May 22 in Pune; Umpires: Simon Taufel and Billy Doctrove; 3rd umpire: Kumar Dharmasena; Match referee: Andy Pycroft.
Eliminator: May 23 in Bangalore; Umpires: Billy Bowden and Kumar Dharmasena; 3rd umpire: Simon Taufel; Match referee: Ranjan Madugalle.
Qualifier 2: May 25 in Chennai; Umpires: Simon Taufel and Billy Doctrove; 3rd umpire: Billy Bowden; Match referee: Ranjan Madugalle.
Final: May 27 in Chennai; Umpires: Simon Taufel and Billy Bowden; 3rd umpire: Billy Doctrove; Match referee: Ranjan Madugalle.
