New Delhi: The players auction for the sixth season of the IPL will be held on February 3, 2013 at an undecided venue, the league’s chief executive Raman Sundar tweeted on Friday. The auction was initially believed to be scheduled for January 12, but has been postponed due to a clash with India’s ODI series against England which runs from January 11-27.
On Friday, the BCCI announced the full schedule of the 2013 season which will run from April 3 to May 26 across 11 venues in India. Kolkata Knight Riders, the current IPL champions, and Delhi Daredevils will play each other on the opening of the sixth season of the IPL on April 3 at Eden Gardens.
As per the IPL guidelines, franchises will have a salary cap of up to Rs 12.5 million for their squads.

Sundar Raman, the IPL chief executive, tweeted the news on Friday though the venue has not been decided.
