IPL Auction 2014: Mumbai bag Hussey and Anderson after retaining their big players

Last year's Indian Premier League and Champions League winner, Mumbai Indians, retained most of their top players from the last season.

Barring the money they spent on the five retained players, Mumbai got five players on day one, paying Rs 5 cr - their highest for the day - for Australia's Mike Hussey, and Rs 4.5 crore for the New Zealand allrounder Corey Anderson.

On day two, Mumbai Indians gave Rs 1.6 crore for Aditya Tare, 1.2 crore for Jaspreet Bumrah and Rs 90 Lakh for Jalaj Saxena. Mumbai also spent Rs 30 Lakh each on Marchant de Lange and Krishmar Santokie.

On day two, Mumbai Indians gave Rs 1.6 crore for Aditya Tare, 1.2 crore for Jaspreet Bumrah and Rs 90 Lakh for Jalaj Saxena.

The second day of the 2014 IPL auction saw 84 players being bought between eight franchises, taking the tally of total number of players auctioned to 154.
