New Delhi: The controversy surrounding the Kochi IPL team seems to have been resolved with the Kerala team replying to the the showcause notice issued to them by the BCCI the deadline for which was Wednesday, October 20.
The letter is currently lying with BCCI president Shashank Manohar and the appropriate action will be taken once the response is reviewed.
Earlier, reports had said that Kochi had failed to meet the deadline of the showcause notice that was issued to them by the BCCI.
It was feared that the deadline to restructure the franchise had expired and the question to be asked was whether Kochi would meet the same fate as Kings XI Punjab and Rajasthan Royals and be axed from the Indian Premier League.
Sources had told CNN-IBN that the meeting of shareholders which was supposed to take place in a last ditch effort to sort out differences did not even take place which made things look rather bleak for Kochi.
