New Delhi: Cricket South Africa is all set to suspend its Chief Executive Officer Haroon Lorgat from dealing with matters related to India and the ICC, pending an inquiry into allegations against him, a report in ESPNCricinfo said on Monday.

Although there is no official confirmation on the development, it is expected that Lorgat will be suspended from dealing with two important matters but would continue with his other duties that include taking care of all the domestic affairs at CSA as well as dealing with other ICC members.

The allegations against Lorgat relate to his role in the statement issued by ICC's former legal head David Becker that the BCCI's flouting of the FTP could have legal implications.

Becker, in his statement released to the media last week, had said it was "improper" to allow a member body to "blatantly disregard an ICC resolution".

It is reported on Monday that the issue was discussed during the ICC Executive Board meeting in London over the weekend and the Indian board's demand for an ethics committee inquiry against Lorgat and Becker got a lot of support from the other member nations.

If CSA, who are desperate to cut down the financial loss that it would incur if the series does not go through, decides to go ahead with the move then it could break the deadlock between the boards over the proposed India's tour to South Africa in December-January.
