Wellington: Former New Zealand batsman Jesse Ryder has been cited for a code of conduct violation after scoring centuries in each innings of his comeback match in first class cricket. Ryder has been cited for showing dissent after his appeal for an lbw decision off his own bowling was turned down during the second innings of the match between Wellington and Central Districts. He has 72 hours to appeal the citing.
Ryder scored 117 not out and 174 to bat Wellington to victory in his first domestic match since February. He took an extended break from cricket after being censured for breaking team rules following a one-day international between New Zealand and South Africa.
Ryder is not currently contracted by New Zealand Cricket but is under contract to Wellington.
