New Delhi: Jharkhand eked out three points in a low scoring match against Tripura. In their first innings Tripura scored just 106 and Jharkhand too struggled to get past the opposition’s total, finishing with mere 139, bagging three points on the basis of first innings lead.
Ajay Yadav starred for Jharkhand in both the innings as he scalped ten wickets in the match. He picked up six wickets in the first innings and four in the second. Tripura were all out for 86 in their second essay, while Jharkhand’s second outing finished at 55 for 3. Only Subhrajit Roy scored 43 in the first innings for Tripura while all the other batsmen failed to make any impact. Saurabh Tiwary (58) scored a fifty for Jharkhand in the first innings, though he failed in the second one. T Chanda got a six-for for Tripura in the first innings. Mora Singh supported him well by picking up four wickets in the first innings and two in the second.

In the other match of Group C in Porvorim, Services and Goa played out a high scoring draw. Services made 473 in their first innings, and in response, Goa finished at 381 in their first essay. Services fetched three points on the basis of first innings’ lead. Services were at 99 for 2 in their second innings.
Yashpal Singh (166) and captain Soumik Chatterjee (103) made fantastic hundreds to take Services to 473. Shadab Jakati, who also plays for Chennai Super Kings in the IPL, picked up four wickets for Goa. In reply, the Asnodkar duo - Swapnil (74) and Rohit (83) - played good hands. Yashpal shined with the ball too as he also scalped four wickets.

In the other match in Guwahati, Assam and Himachal Pradesh played out a dull draw. Assam bagged three points on the basis of the first innings lead. Assam made 354 in their first innings, while Himachal made 316 in response.
Pallav Das led the way for Assam as he made a crisp 90. But Rishi Dhawan shined with both bat and ball for Himachal, taking four wickets with his medium pace and making a brilliant 114. But barring Dhawan, the other Himachal batsmen couldn’t contribute much that hampered their chance of going past Assam's 354.
