Colombo: Sri Lanka have included offspinner Seekkuge Prasanna and fast bowler Suranga Lakmal in the 14-man squad for the Asia Cup, which will be held in Bangladesh from March 11-22.
Pacers, Dhammika Prasad and Chanaka Welegedara, who were part of the Lankan squad for the Commonwealth Bank tri-series in Australia, have been dropped.
Meanwhile, middle-order batsman Chamara Kapugedera has been named as the replacement for one of the three injured allrounders , Farveez Maharoof, Angelo Mathews and Thisara Perara, even though it is not yet clear which player will miss out.
Sri Lanka qualified for the CB Series final by beating Australia by nine runs at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) on Friday, to set up a clash with the hosts in the best-of-three finals, starting Sunday at Brisbane.
