Islamabad: The Pakistan Cricket Board's legal adviser says Najam Sethi will stay on as chairman of the PCB until the next hearing on Thursday.

Tafazzul Rizvi also says an Islamabad court stopped the PCB from releasing 2.5 million rupees ($23,300) to retired judge Munir A. Sheikh for conducting fresh elections.

The government had filed an intra-court appeal last week after judge Shaukat Aziz Siddiqui had suspended Sethi and the PCB's newly appointed Interim Management Committee from working.
