Day 2 summary: From 139 for 0, Australia were pulled back to 273 for 7 by stumps on a long second day. Once again it was spin that produced most of the wickets, with Ravindra Jadeja excelling with 3 for 56 before Ishant Sharma ensured pace had a say with a double-wicket over late in the day.
Ed Cowan top-scored for Australia with 86, while David Warner made 71. Steven Smith, who was included for this match as a batting allrounder, was unbeaten on 58 with Mitchell Starc, who was 20 not out.
