19th over: 127 for 6. With 12 require from two overs, but Srikkanth was in a hurry to finish off things. First ball from Tait goes for a six and in the next one cleans up Srikkanth with a perfect yorker, but was a no-ball. The next ball goes for a bye boundary which eventually wins the match for Chennai by four wickets.

18th over: 115 for 6. Anirudha Srikkanth is the trump card for Chennai and he proves it here in this over. Srikkanth takes on Watson and hits him for two sixes and one four. First ball, Watson pitches it up and Srikkanth smacks it over long-off. The next one comes off a short one and these hits ends Rajasthan's hopes for a win.

17th over: 97 for 6. When everything was going Rajasthan's way, Pankaj Singh just gives it away by conceding 17 runs. Only solace for Pankaj would be one wicket in this over in the form of Jadeja. Two fours and one six come in this over.

IPL 5, Match 56: as it happened

Anirudha Srikkanth's cameo of 18 runs off 6 balls guides Chennai to four-wicket win over Rajasthan.

16th over: 80 for 5. An important wicket at this stage that to of MS Dhoni can turn the match in Rajasthan's favour. Trivedi bowls a short one and Dhoni plays straight to the point fielder.

15th over: 77 for 4. Botha completes his spell without any wicket by giving just 23 runs.

14th over: 69 for 4. Trivedi pitches the ball up and Jadeja steps out to smack it over long-off. Chennai need 58 runs from 36 balls.

13th over: 61 for 4. Hussey falls. A breakthrough Rajasthan were looking when in serious mix-up, Hussey falls short of the crease.

12th over: 60 for 3. Trivedi is not letting down his reputation as he is getting through some crucial and miserly overs.

11th over: 57 for 2. Rajasthan here desperately needs some wickets to be in the hunt and the Chennai batsmen are also failing to up the scoring rate.

10th over: 53 for 2. The most economical of the Rajasthan comes in and his experience is much needed here. Siddharth Trivedi gives just four runs and from here wickets will only add pressure on Chennai.

9th over: 49 for 2. Another decent over from Botha comes to an end, where Chennai take seven runs.

8th over: 42 for 2. Rajasthan need quick wickets to throw Chennai out of content_cnion of the title. More than wickets, to check the flow of runs is more crucial and in this over Pankaj Singh gives just two runs.

7th over: 40 for 2. Dravid brings on Johan Botha and the South African doesn't disappoint his skipper. Both the Chennai batsmen are in no hurry to achieve the target, as a win here is more important.

6th over: 36 for 2. Pankaj Singh removes Raina, who was looking dangerous to run away the match. The left-handed batsman going to clear the in-field baloons high as Rahane takes a good catch.

5th over: 30 for 1. After a wayward first over, Tait makes a great comeback with some great deliveries to leave the batsmen guessing especially Michael Hussey.

4th over: 28 for 1. After bowling a successful first over, Watson goes for runs in this one. Suresh Raina hits three fours and concedes 13 runs.

3rd over: 15 for 1. A lengthy over from Shaun Tait finally comes to an end. Tait bowls three successive wide balls, but there were few brilliant deliveries.

2nd over: 10 for 1. Rajasthan can't afford to give away easy runs when defending a small total of 126. Pankaj Singh gives away 10 runs which included two fours.

1st over: 1 for 1. Shane Watson strikes in the first over. Watson pitches on line and the ball shapes out a bit to knock back Murali Vijay's stumps.

20th over: 126 for 6. Bravo again gives away an expensive over. Cameos from Binny and Hodge helped Rajasthan to a decent score.

19th over: 116 for 6. Nine runs and wicket of Hodge. If from here Rajasthan can put up 120 on the board, they can put up a fight.

18th over: 107 for 5. Rajasthan would look for 120 plus from here on and need urgently some quick runs. While trying to lift the scoring rate, Jadeja cleans up Botha.

17th over: 97 for 4. Chennai are getting through some crucial overs at this moment. Rajasthan manage to score four runs in this Ashwin over.

16th over: 93 for 4. Jadeja is bowling an excellent line tonight, as the Rajasthan batsmen continue to struggle score freely off the left-arm spinner.

15th over: 89 for 4. Bravo continues to be leaking away runs as he gives away 11 runs. With five overs and six wickets in hand, Hodge and Botha need to accelerate the scoring.

14th over: 78 for 4. Another tidy one from Jadeja. Just three runs from this over and Rajasthan have to take the risk of raising the tempo.

13th over: 75 for 4. Boundaries have dried out at the moment, as Chennai continue to put pressure on Rajasthan with some tight bowling.

12th over: 71 for 4. Johan Botha and Brad Hodge hold key to Rajasthan innings and a score of 120 is also good enough on this track. Ravindra Jadeja comes in to bowl and starts off by giving just four runs.

11th over: 67 for 4. An useful over from Mahesh comes to an end. Mahesh digs in a short one and Binny pulls straight into the hands of short midwicket.

10th over: 61 for 3. Good over comes for Rajasthan as the home team takes 18 runs. Stuart Binny looks to be in great touch as he scores two fours and a six from this Dwayne Bravo over.

9th over: 43 for 3. First wicket and then rain in this over. Rahane trying to accelerate the scoring steps out but holes up to mid-on fielder.

9:47 pm: Not again. Rain continues to play hide and seek as covers come on for the third time in this evening.

8th over: 38 for 2. Hilfenaus completes a brilliant spell of four overs and returns with figures of 2 for 8.

7th over: 34 for 2. The batsmen are finding it hard to score off freely and Suresh Raina grasses a sharp chance in the slips. Yo Mahesh gets the ball to swing out a bit and takes a healthy edge and Raina dives to his right and gets a hand to it.

6th over: 28 for 2. Hilfenaus was looking good for a wicket and gets an important one of Watson caught at third-man by R Ashwin, who runs in to take a brilliant catch.

5th over: 25 for 1. Morkel continues to leak runs and starts off by giving away a four. Rahane is up in a flash to cut the short ball over covers for a boundary.

4th over: 20 for 1. Hilfenaus is enjoying the conditions at the moment. Just one run from this over and Hilfenaus has Rahane and Watson hopping around.

3rd over: 19 for 1. The batsmen out there need to be patient with the new ball doing a bit. Morkel strays down the leg-side and Watson flicks it for four.

9:05 pm: Here again it has started raining and the players are running for cover.

2nd over: 10 for 1. A wicket was in the offing with the ball swinging around and Ben Hilfenaus being the right candidate to exploit these conditions. Dravid looking to go over the covers to a short ball hands a easy catch to Michael Hussey.

1st over: 5 for 0. Albie Morkel resumes his over from where he had left and finishes up by giving only five runs. The ball is seaming around a bit due to the moisture and windy conditions here in Jaipur.

8:40 pm: Good News. The covers have come off as the rain has stopped. If the match starts in 20 minutes time, there won't be any overs lost.

The match is going to start in five minutes time that is 8:55 pm.

It starts with a drizzle and then comes down heavily, as the umpires ask for the covers after a single delivery bowled. If the match starts by 9:05 pm, no overs will be lost. Stay tuned for further updates.

7:30 pm: Chennai Super Kings skipper MS Dhoni has won the toss and opted to bowl. Chennai have made three changes, as Michael Hussey and Anirudha Srikkanth come in place of unwell S Badrinath, Faf du Plessis and Yo Mahesh replaces Jakati. For Rajasthan, Brad Hodge comes in for Owais Shah and Pankaj Singh replaces Ankit Chavan.

7:15 pm: Hello and welcome to the 56th IPL 5 match between Rajasthan Royals and Chennai Super Kings at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur. After equal number of matches played, Rajasthan is slightly ahead of Chennai in the points table with 12 points while the later having 11 points. But its been raining all evening and the forecast says there are chances of thunderstorms, which is bad news for both the teams.
