18th over: 105 for 8. Again Mumbai lose two wickets and this time Narine does the damage. First ball, Harbhajan tries to clear long-on boundary but holes up to the fielder. The next to fall is Rohit Sharma caught by McCullum.

16th over: 90 for 4. Shakib gets an important wicket and this can be the turning point of the match. Rayudu charges down the wicket and Shakib fires in wide as McCullum does the rest.

15th over: 80 for 3. Kallis gets through a tidy one at this stage of the match. Mumbai need some boundaries to keep the momentum going at the moment.

14th over: 77 for 3. With Rohit Sharma and Ambati Rayadu at the crease the match is still alive for Mumbai. Rayudu dances down the track and whacks Abdulla over long-on for a huge six.

13th over: 67 for 3. Another wicket in the form of Karthik at a crucial juncture of the match. Balaji bowls a short one and Karthik as usual goes for the pull shot and holes it to the fine leg fielder.

    Dinesh Karthik c Pathan b Balaji 20 (26)

12th over: 63 for 2. Abdulla is making the opportunity count as he is getting through some brilliant overs for his team.

11th over: 60 for 2. Narine strikes. Tendulkar fails to read the delivery as he goes back and front to find his off stump knocked back. A wicket and one run in this over.

    Sachin Tendulkar b Narine 27 (24)

10th over: 59 for 1. Anything short, Karthik jumps on to it in a flash. Shakib a touch short in his second ball and Karthik dispatches it to midwicket boundary for a four.

9th over: 52 for 1. What a shot from Tendulkar. Kallis bangs it in short and Tendulkar plays a upper cut for a six over third-man. The former Mumbai captain looks in supreme touch tonight and holds key to his team's chase.

8th over: 39 for 1. A wicket in his first over has given Abdulla the confidence to attack. Just four runs in this over.

7th over: 35 for 1. Dinesh Karthik joins Tendulkar at the middle and gets into action right away with two successive boundaries off Kallis.

6th over: 26 for 1. Iqbal Abdulla strikes in his first over. Abdulla pitches the ball on line and traps Gibbs on his pads.

Herschelle Gibbs lbw b Iqbal Abdulla 13 (24)

5th over: 20 for 0. Kolkata's strike bowler Sunil Narine comes on and starts off with a decent one, except for a last ball four. Tendulkar rocks back to slap the short ball through the covers.

4th over: 14 for 0. Shakib finishes a decent over, except for a over-throw five runs. Gambhir decides to attack with spin from both ends in order to choke the flow of runs earlier on.

3rd over: 8 for 0. Laxmipathy Balaji gets through an excellent over by giving only one run. Balaji almost gets Gibbs off a slower one which falls short of cover fielders.

2nd over: 7 for 0. Shakib Al Hasan right on the money in his first over. Shakib in the last ball wraps Tendulkar on the pads and everyone go up in unison, but the umpire rules in the batsman's favour.

1st over: Mumbai 5 for 0 Lakshmipathy Balaji opens the bowling for Kolkata. Herschelle Gibbs hits a four off the second ball. A single off the last delivery. Sachin Tendulkar is yet to play a ball.

    Kolkata Knight Riders:

20th over: 140 for 7. RP finishes his spell to return with figures of 2 for 33. Tiwary top scores for Kolkata, as rest of the batsmen fail. But the visiting team has put up a decent total which they can defend with spinners in their line-up.

19th over: 133 for 7. Malinga completes his spell with a wicket. Bhatia looks to go for a big one but gets a top edge and Dinesh Karthik runs in from his position to complete the catch.

    Rajat Bhatia c †Karthik b Malinga 12 (7)

18th over: 125 for 6. Pathan goes after RP's widish ball and plays it in air and Pollard completes a running catch, but the umpire rules it as a no-ball after consulting the third-umpire. RP concedes 13 runs in this over.

17th over: 112 for 6. Yusuf Pathan has been off-colour this IPL and tonight also he is finding it difficult to middle the ball. Malinga digs the last ball short and Pathan tries to pull through the midwicket region but instead gets a top edge that runs down for four in the third-man area.

16th over: 100 for 6. Kolkata keep losing wickets consistently here as 100 runs come up for them. In a mix-up Debabrata Das finds himself short of crease.

Debabrata Das run out 2 (3)

15th over: 94 for 5. Another wicket goes down and that to of Tiwary. The batsman fails to read the slower one from Munaf and mistimes it to long-off fielder for a simple catch.

    Manoj Tiwary c Malinga b Patel 41 (43)

14th over: 91 for 4. Dwayne Smith comes on to bowl and right away gives his team an important breakthrough in the form of Shakib. The left-handed batsman tries to play a cut shot making room for himself but plays down on to his stumps.

    Shakib Al Hasan b Smith 13 (12)

13th over: 87 for 3. Tiwary looks to be in great touch this evening as he charges down and lofts one from Malinga over sight-screen for a six.

12th over: 78 for 3. Runs start to come for Kolkata. One four and a six off this Harbhajan over. Tiwary lifts the ball clean to land it over midwicket boundary for a six. 14 runs from this over.

11th over: 64 for 3. Tiwary finally manages to break the shackles as he hits Pollard for two successive boundaries off the first and second balls. 10 runs from this over.

10th over: 54 for 3. The talented allrounder, Shakib Al Hasan joins Tiwary at the crease and as usual he starts playing his shots fluently.

9th over: 48 for 3. Gambhir has failed to sort out the mistake that he often makes. Gambhir tries to cut a delivery too close to his body as Pollard knocks off his off stump. This is an important breakthrough from Mumbai's perspective as Gambhir is the in-form Kolkata batsman and could have hurt them later.

    Gautam Gambhir b Pollard 28 (23)

8th over: 44 for 2. Again six singles come off from this over. Captain Harbhajan Singh introduces himself into the attack and starts with a tidy one.

7th over: 38 for 2. Kolkata take six singles in this Pollard over. Boundaries at the moment have dried out for the visiting team and from here on someone has to lift the tempo.

6th over: 32 for 2. Gambhir here doesn't seem to be in any hurry as he rocks back deep into the crease and gently steers the ball to third-man boundary for four.

5th over: 25 for 2. Lasith Malinga comes on to bowl his first over and from ball one he is spot on. Just three runs from this over.

4th over: 22 for 2. After bowling a superb first over, RP Singh goes for 10 runs. Sachin Tendulkar drops a difficult catch of Gambhir at the third-man boundary and that goes for a six also.

3rd over: 12 for 2. Just 12 runs come from this Munaf over. Two wickets in the last over have done enough damage for Gambhir and Tiwary to take undue risks.

2nd over: 11 for 2. RP Singh strikes in his first over. Brendon McCullum is unlucky to be adjudged LBW when he has come down couple of steps to play a shot in the square leg region. The very next ball from RP is an absolute beauty. The ball nips back sharply to knock off Kallis' off stump.

    Jacques Kallis b Singh 0 (1)

    Brendon McCullum lbw b Singh 1 (5)

1st over: 6 for 0. Gautam Gambhir welcomes Munaf Patel with an elegant straight-drive down the wicket. The Kolkata captain is in the form of his life this season.
