Latur: Maharashtra Ranji cricketer Kishor Bhikane, 25, was Sunday killed in a road accident while another player, Abhilash Lokhande, sustained serious injuries, police said.
Bhikane was riding a two-wheeler while Lokhande was riding pillion.
The incident took place on the Latur-Barshi road in the afternoon, they said, adding the injured was admitted to a local hospital.
Bhikane was returning after playing a match at Sakhra Pati village near here when a truck hit the bike. He died on the spot.
Incidentally, Kishor had won the bike as a prize for best bowling performance in one of the recently-concluded state level cricket tournament.
