Mumbai: Mumbai have drafted in Ajinkya Rahane, who is in the India squad for the second Test against the West Indies but is not in the playing 11, to bolster their batting against Karnataka in the Ranji Trophy Elite Group A match starting from November 17.
The Mumbai selectors have also brought in fit-again veteran pacer Ajit Agarkar to prop up the bowling that was taken to the cleaners by defending champions Rajasthan in their second league match that ended in a draw on Sunday.
To accommodate the duo, the 39-time champions have dropped Nikhil Herwadkar and Kshemal Waingankar.
The four-day match between the group's joint leaders (on nine points each) is to be played at the Brabourne Stadium.
