A decision to this effect was taken on Thursday by Mumbai Cricket Association's Technical Committee, which discussed and recommended this to the Managing Committee, said a media release from MCA vice-president Ravi Savant.

Mumbai coach Sulakshan Kulkarni is all set to get sacked after the 40-time champions' early exit from this season's Ranji Trophy tournament.
The defending champions were knocked out from the premier domestic tournament at the quarter-final stage at their home turf by Maharashtra early this week.
"Since the Ranji season (for the team) is over, the committee unanimously decided to request and recommend to the Managing Committee name of Mr Lalchand Rajput to take over as the coach of Mumbai for one-day and T20 team for BCCI tournament till end of 2013-2014 season," said the release.
Mumbai were eliminated from the competition when they lost to arch-rivals Maharashtra by eight wickets after taking a handy 122-run lead at the Wankhede Stadium.
Further, the Technical Committee decided to recommend appointment of a new selection committee for next season, but with the power to select the Mumbai one-day and T20 teams for the current season itself.
All these recommendations would be taken up for consideration by the MCA's powerful Managing Committee at its sitting here on January 24, the release added.
