Chennai: Chennai Super Kings spinner Ravichandran Ashwin on Sunday was fined five per cent of his match fee for violating the IPL code of conduct during the clash with Kings XI Punjab here on Saturday.
Ashwin was charged with a Level 1 offence of showing dissent at an umpire's decision (Article 2.1.3) in the match at the MA Chidambaram Stadium. Ashwin admitted the offence and accepted the sanction.
In accordance with the IPL Code of Conduct and being a Level 1 breach, the Match Referee's decision is final and binding.

Ashwin was charged with a Level 1 offence for showing dissent at an umpire\'s decision during the clash against Punjab.
