Kingston, Jamaica: Ravi Rampaul, the West Indies fast bowler, has been ruled out of the second Test against New Zealand at Sabina Park starting Thursday due to a groin injury. He has been replaced by Fidel Edwards in a 13-man squad for the final match of the series, which West Indies lead after a nine-wicket win in Antigua.
Rampaul, 27, took four wickets in Antigua before picking up the injury.
His place will be contested by Edwards and Tino Best, already in the squad, though the former could get the nod due to his record at Sabina Park: he has taken 25 wickets at 22.28 at the venue.
West Indies squad: Darren Sammy (capt), Chris Gayle, Kieron Powell, Adrian Barath, Assad Fudadin, Shivnarine Chanderpaul, Marlon Samuels, Narsingh Deonarine, Denesh Ramdin (wk), Tino Best, Fidel Edwards, Kemar Roach, Sunil Narine
