Vadodara: Baroda took three points from a draw with Karnataka after batting the visitors out of the equation at the Moti Bagh Stadium on Sunday.
From 115 for 4 overnight – a lead of 237 – Baroda marched on after the loss of Irfan Pathan for 38 soon into the morning session. Abhimanyu Chauhan became Stuart Binny’s second wicket for 52 at 124 for 6 but Pinal Shah and Ketan Panchal added 48 for the seventh wicket and Panchal and Gagandeep Singh adding 65 for the eighth. Panchal top-scored for the innings with 58 as Baroda were bowled out for 249.
Set an improbable 372 to win with time running out, Karnataka batted out a draw at 102 for 1 with Robin Uthappa making 43.

The rain-affected match in gloomy Cuttack was called off early on day four. In all, only 33.1 overs were possible in which Tamil Nadu scored 67 for 3. Both teams took a point each from the washout.
