Wellington: Sacked New Zealand captain Ross Taylor has been named in a New Zealand XI which will play England in two Twenty20 warm-up matches at the start of its tour here next month.
Taylor was dumped as New Zealand's captain during its tour to Sri Lanka in November and chose to miss its current tour to South Africa while he considered his future. Former Australia wicketkeeper Luke Ronchi has also been named in the side. New Zealand-born Ronchi, who played four one-day and three Twenty20 internationals for Australia, has now qualified residentially to play for New Zealand.
England will play the New Zealand XI on February 4 and 6 ahead of three Twenty20 matches against New Zealand.
