Johannesburg: Cricket South Africa (CSA) have included Jacques Kallis and Graeme Smith in their 30-member provisional squad for the upcoming ICC World Twenty20 in Sri Lanka in September.

Kallis last featured as a regular member of South Africa's Twenty20 squad in 2010 during the tour of the West Indies, though he did play in a one-off match against India in March - a match played in his honour. Smith has been included despite the selectors having axed him from a three-match Twenty20 series in New Zealand in February.

"I believe this squad shows just how much depth is there in South African cricket," commented CSA selection convener Andrew Hudson. "It augurs extremely well both for this tournament as well as the road ahead."

The final squad of 15 players will be announced next month.
