Johannesburg: The list of records never seem to end for batting icon Sachin Tendulkar who will be contesting in his 444th One Day International (ODI) when India take on South Africa at Johannesburg on Saturday, making him the most capped ODI player along with Sri Lanka's Sanath Jayasuriya.
Sachin who also holds the world record for most number of runs and as well as centuries scored in ODIs will be hoping for a better result than the first match at Durban when India were on the receiving end of a 135 run thrashing.
Tendulkar was caught by Dale Steyn off the bowling of Lonwabo Tsotsobe for a mere 7 runs when he mistimed a pull shot.
The maestro who has been given the responsibility of opening the innings along with Murali Vijay will be looking to pile on the runs as India look to square the five match series which the Proteas currently lead 1-0.
