The biggest Poppat of India's tour has been Virender Sehwag. Today, at the SCG, he made just five runs, taking his series tally to 35 runs at a dismal average of 8.75.
Sehwag's mental frame of mind was evident when he flailed his bat at a very wide delivery outside off stump first ball of India's innings. He repeatedly played nervous shots and if his intention was to get out, it didn't take long to happen.
To the 11th ball he faced, Sehwag played an awful drive to a full ball from Ben Hilfenhaus. It was timed poorly because Sehwag's feet were in horrible position, and the ball scooped off the toe of the bat. Hilfenhaus held a smart catch falling forward, plucking it inches off the ground, after which a dumbfounded Sehwag stood there. Seeming him out of balance and with a cluttered mind, the question arose again: where will Sehwag find runs?
