Shaun Marsh's woes continued as the left-handed batsman played just two balls for a duck. His dismissal was as dramatic as his recent form: India medium pacer Praveen Kumar brought one back to find an outside edge off his bat and Virender Sehwag and Mahendra Singh Dhoni combined perfectly well to complete a juggling effort.
Sehwag, standing at first slip, got his hands on the dipping ball and threw it upwards while rolling over as an alert Dhoni took the simplest of rebounds. However, it narrated a familiar sorry story for Marsh whose career is at crossroads following a disastrous batting performance in the recently concluded Test series against the same opponents.
The only consolation for the Marsh family came from younger brother Mitchell, who did relatively better with 13 runs and a wicket. Though, in a losing cause!
