London: There were problems aplenty for the Indian team management on the eve of the Oval Test. The pace trio of Ishant Sharma, Praveen Kumar and S Sreesanth needed injections after complaining of pain in their legs. Sreesanth, who is also down with flu, did not bowl at the nets on Wednesday.
In these circumstances, MS Dhoni and coach Duncan Fletcher convened a team meeting last evening to shortlist a 13-man squad.
It's been learnt that Munaf Patel's name features in the list. Munaf, not a Test regular, is a viable option to play given the fresh injuries picked up by other pacers.
Praveen Kumar along with Ishant Sharma and S Sreesanth needed injections after complaining of pain in their legs.
Pragyan Ojha is set to be ignored again.
The 13-man squad:
Gautam Gambhir, Virender Sehwag, Rahul Dravid, Sachin Tendulkar, VVS Laxman, Suresh Raina, MS Dhoni, Ishant Sharma, S Sreesanth, Praveen Kumar, RP Singh, Amit Mishra, Munaf Patel
