Mumbai: Superstar Shah Rukh Khan has been named the face of the Nokia Champions League T20 commencing on September 19. His IPL team Kolkata Knight Riders would be among the six teams playing in the international tournament.
"I am honoured and I am very happy. I am happy because I thought we would never be able to qualify for Nokia Champions League T20," Shah Rukh told reporters here.
All 23 matches of the main tournament would be played among Kolkata Knight Riders, Somerset (England), Auckland (New Zealand), Trinidad & Tobago (West Indies), Leicestershire (England) and Ruhunu (Sri Lanka)
ESPN STAR Sports, which is the global commercial rights partner of the Nokia Champions League T20, would telecast the tournament in 174 territories in 18 different international languages.
