Mumbai: England's tour to India began on a bad note as their young fast bowler Steven Finn suffered a thigh injury in his right leg on day one of their match against India A at Mumbai. Finn bowled 3 overs in his first spell and limped off the field after bowling just one over in his second spell. He couldn't bowl any further in the day and went for the scan. The enormity of the injury is not known yet.
The 23-year-old has chalked up 25 wickets in ODIs in 2012, highest by an England bowler, and he captured 8 wickets in the last Test he played against South Africa at Lord's. England will play Mumbai XI in a three-day match from 3rd November and the first Test of the four-Test series will start from 15th November at Ahmedabad.
India A piled up 369 for 9 at the close of day one against England. Manoj Tiwary cracked a fine 93 and got able support from Irfan Pathan and Vinay Kumar. Yuvraj Singh smashed a breezy half-century, which included seven boundaries and four sixes, before being stumped on the bowling of Graeme Swann. Swann and Tim Bresnan were pick of the bowlers for England as they grabbed three wickets each.
