Kolkata: West Indies offspinner Sunil Narine will be available to play for Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) for the entire fifth season of the Indian Premier League (IPL), Venky Mysore, the club's chief executive, told a website on Tuesday. The 23-year-old was under consideration for the West Indies team to face Australia in a three-Test series, which overlaps with the T20 tournament.
This followed a memorable year for him, which included his international debut and being picked by KKR for $700,000 in the IPL auction earlier this year.
Narine does not hold a West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) central retainer contract and has not played a Test yet, but his form in the recent one-day and Twenty20 Internationals against the Australians, where he was virtually unplayable, had increased the possibility of his selection.

The offspinner was a favourite to bag a place in the West Indies squad for a Test series against Australia.
