Sylhet beat Chittagong by 35 runs

Mirpur: Sylhet Royals openers and Sohail Tanvir with the ball took Sylhet Royals to a comfortable 35 runs win against Chittagong Kings in the Bangladesh Premier League on Saturday.

After winning the toss, Chittagong opted to field and this decision of theirs went against them as Sylhet openers Kamran Akmal and Peter Trego gave their team a brilliant start. Akmal scored 53 off 37 and Trego got 68 of 53 to power Sylhet to a decent score of 165 at the loss of three wickets.

When Chittagong came out for the run-chase, they ran into the experienced Sohail Tanvir and Peter Trego. Both of these bowlers became quite hot to handle for Chittagong and managed to score only 130 for eight. For Sylhet, Tanvir chipped in with three wickets and youngster Ziaur Rehman (40) top scored for the Chittagong.
