Islamabad: Pakistan cricket selectors have retained left-arm fast bowler Sohail Tanvir for the five-match ODI series against Sri Lanka. Tanvir was named Man of the Series Sunday after taking four wickets in the two-match Twenty20 series against Sri Lanka that Pakistan drew 1-1.
Chief selector Iqbal Qasim said in a statement on Monday that Tanvir was retained because of his current form.
Tanvir will replace opening batsman Nasir Jamshed in the squad after the left-hander was ruled out before the team left for Sri Lanka due to a fractured left index finger. The ODI series begins on June 7.
