    Tendulkar's sorry list of 90s swells

    New Delhi: Sachin Tendulkar and India's wait for the batting icon's 100th international century refused to end on Friday, when the nation's favourite son once again fell short – this time by an agonising six runs.

    It was a sell-out at the Wankhede Stadium as all the roads led to the venue, with the Mumbaikar needing to add just 33 to his overnight score to reach the landmark. But instead of adding to his 99 centuries, Tendulkar managed to lengthen the list of his scores in the 90s as he got out for 94.

    There have been 27 such occasions - 17 in ODIs and 10 in Tests - when the legendary batsman has got out in the 90s in international cricket, whereas on one other occasion he was left stranded at 96.

    Of these 27 dismissals, 14 were caught, six bowled, three stumped, three LBWs and one run out. Here is the list:
