Three's a crowd with the scores levelled

India needed one run to win with R Ashwin on strike, facing the fourth ball of the 47th over. He had just smacked a four off the previous ball and attempted another heroic shot to win the match. It did not come off well at all, though.

Aiming to clear mid-off with a big drive, Ashwin miscued the ball from Angelo Mathews. It went up in the air, and in the meantime there were three fielders who had plenty of time to settle under the catch. What turned out was comical.

None of the three fielders managed to judge who was the best person to hold it. Each though that one of the other two would get to it, but none did. The ball dropped between two fielders, India completed the required run, and a lucky Ashwin could not stop from smiling.
