New Delhi: India's cancer-stricken World Cup star Yuvraj Singh is well on course to recovery after the southpaw on Thursday revealed on his Twitter account that the cancerous tumour in the space between his lungs is receding.
"The tumour is almost out of the system after reading my today's scan! Second cycle has got started," Yuvraj tweeted.
Yuvraj Singh is undergoing chemotherapy in the United States of America for a rare germ cell cancer and this news will be a relief for his fans and the entire nation.
Yuvraj had said a couple of days earlier that he was inspired after getting a message from US cycling legend Lance Armstrong wishing him a speedy recovery.
"Message from @lancearmstrong makes me feel better! Thank you lance means a lot hope we can meet," tweeted Yuvraj, from the Cancer Research Institute in Boston where he is receiving treatment.
The left-hander had also tweeted a week back to say that he was recovering well, and couldn't wait to be back in his India colours. He also expressed gratitude to his fans and promised to make a stronger comeback.
The 30-year-old left-hander has been in the US since last month as good wishes and prayers pour in from all corners of the world.
