Narine was declared ineligible by the West Indies Cricket Board for the three Test series, which the tourists won 2-1, due to his inability to join the mandatory training camp ahead of the series.

Commentary (New Zealand 1st Innings)

Andre Fletcher is adjudged Man of the Match for his fine knock with the bat. That's all we have from this match. Do join us for the second T20I tomorrow at 2330 IST. Cheers!!!

New Zealand planned their chase well. They knew that the rain was around and did well to always keep themselves ahead on the D-L count. Brendon McCullum batted responsibly and was nicely helped by Williamson and Taylor. Apart from Sammy there wasn't any fight shown by the Windies bowling.

What? It's the end of the match? How? Why? They played under drizzle for 15 overs and have decided to call off with only 18 balls left. Eh? Sometimes cricketing decisions are not that easy to understand. Anticlimax! Anyway, we hear that New Zealand win by 12 runs (D-L method).

14.6 D Sammy to R Taylor, Good length ball around off, Taylor stays back and runs it past short third man for a couple of runs. 117/4

Luke Ronchi is the new batsman.

14.5 D Sammy to C Anderson, OUT! Changed ball brought luck for the Windies! Sammy arrows in a back of a length ball, Anderson top edges it pull behind the keeper. Narine moves to his left from short fine leg and takes the catch safely. 18 needed off 19! 115/4

Finally sanity prevails and the reserved umpire shows his face. He is carrying a box of balls and the umpires will now select a new nut, not exactly new.

Once again a conference over the ball! Change it if it's bothering you so much. Why wasting time????

14.4 D Sammy to C Anderson, FOUR! Full toss angling in, Anderson spanks it down the ground for a boundary. 115/3

14.3 D Sammy to C Anderson, Full and on off, Anderson inside edges it onto the pads. 111/3

14.2 D Sammy to C Anderson, Short ball which gets big on Anderson as he tries to pull. The ball goes in the air but falls safely inside the circle at mid-wicket. They take a couple as Sammy runs after it like a leopard. 111/3

13.6 K Pollard to C Anderson, Bouncer! The batsman ducks in time to let that one go over him. 108/3

Kieron Pollard runs in to bowl. Loses the grip at the last moment but still goes on with his follow through. We thought it's his usual style of pulling out which he did but no, the ball genuinely slipped out. Again complains about the ball. This time the complain is for wet ball but the umpires are not getting convinced.

Pollard is complaining about the ball losing its shape. The two umpires have a quick chat but decide it's good enough to carry on.
