West Indies, the 2012 World T20 champions, Zimbabwe and Netherlands have been rewarded by the ICC for their improved performance over the last three years.
All the three nations have got it as part of the governing body's Targeted Assistance and Performance Programme (TAPP) in place to facilitate competitiveness.
At the ICC's executive meeting in Colombo on Friday, West Indies received USD 3m, while Zimbabwe and Netherlands got a cheque of USD 1.5 m each.
