Indore: Accusing the BJP of harbouring criminals, the Madhya Pradesh Congress on Saturday claimed that the notorious criminal Manoj Parmar who was shot at recently was an active member of the ruling party.
"Parmar was an active member of BJP's "jal samiti" set up on March 15, 2012 and his appointment was made with the approval of BJP state president Prabhat Jha and secretary Arvind Menon," MPCC Spokesman Narendra Saluja alleged on Saturday while releasing documents in support of his claim.
"It is ridiculous that the state BJP leaders were now disowning Parmar, who after being shot at on July 30, named BJP MLA Sudershan Gupta as one of the four accused in his FIR lodged with police," Saluja said.

Manoj Parmar was a known criminal facing 22 cases in different parts of the state including Bhopal and Indore.
