New Delhi: More skeletons are tumbling out in the human trafficking scandal involving MP's. An intelligence officer has now been removed from active duty for his alleged involvement in the scam.
In Hyderabad, suspended TRS MP A Narendra accused his party chief for being involved in human trafficking.
Former TRS MP A Narendra said, “Chandrashekar Rao is involved in a bigger human trafficking racket."
The day after he was suspended for his alleged role in the human trafficking racket, Narendra was all fire, targeting Telangana Rashtra Samiti chief Chandrasekhar Rao.
On Wednesday, Narendra was suspended for allegedly being part of the human trafficking racket.
Narendra had allegedly taken passports of two other TRS MPs Ravindra Naik and Madhusudan Reddy - made copies of them and then used them for smuggling people out.
The city police is also investigating the role of four TRS MLAs and has registered a case against another MLA Kasipeti Lingaiah for procuring fake passports.
Hyderabad Police Commissioner Balwinder Singh said, “He procured the passport for a lady who is not his wife and we are ascertaining if she has already left."
Hyderabad has emerged as the favourite destination for human trafficking involving 300 people every year.
In Delhi, Rajendra Singh, PA of MP Babubhai Katara, and co-accused Kiran Dhar have been sent to two days of police custody.
Kiran had allegedly written several letters to various embassies on behalf of MPs Mitra Sen Yadav, Ashok Rawat and Katara - all accused in the human trafficking case, to arrange for their travel documents.
She has also led the police to a CPU, which contains names of others involved in the racket.
Delhi Police has sent notices to British and Canadian high commissions and the American embassy, asking them details of visits made by the accused MPs.
Notices were also sent to Air-India, British Airways, Austrian Airlines and North West Airlines seeking details about their visits.
