Lucknow: A low-intensity country bomb exploded outside the Chief Judicial Magistrate court toilet in Lucknow on Saturday afternoon. There were no reports of any casualty.
The blast prompted protests from lawyers present at the court.
A country-made bomb had also exploded on Friday at around 1130 hrs IST inside the toilet of Additional District Judge. No was injured in the explosion.
”It seems a cracker was thrown by someone,” Additional Director General of Police, Law and Order, Brij Lal, had said about Friday's explosion.
However, police officials say the both bomb blasts are the handiwork of disgruntled lawyers who are not happy with the bar council.
Senior Superintendent of Police Akhil Kumar said, " Recently the bar council had conducted a meeting and some lawyers were not happy with the decisions taken in the meeting. These lawyers are doing this. They are playing pranks."
