Cry boy: Arjun Singh weeps, Cong snubs

Ballia: Notwithstanding the ‘insult’ from his party, Senior Congress leader Arjun Singh was seen crying on stage during a party programme in Ballia.

Sources close to the leader say he is terribly upset after his daughter was denied a ticket to contest for the party.

When Bhola Pandey the congress candidate from Seelampur saw Arjun Singh crying, he tried to console him. But then he too turned tearful.

Congress had denied tickets to his daughter Beena Singh from Satna and son Ajeya Singh from Sidhi.

Singh had earlier said that "If I say I am not unhappy, then it will not be true."

However Congress downplayed the issue and said that things should not be dealt personally. "He has said being a father he is disappointed, what is wrong in it. If my son does not get a ticket.

I will also be disappointed," senior party leader Kapil Sibal told reporters when asked to comment on Singh's statement. He, however, argued that Singh did not say "he is angry with anybody".
